Full Job Description

Backs on Burnside is growing and in need for an experienced, Oregon licensed Chiropractic Physician, looking for full or part time employment. We are open Mon-Thurs 8:30am to 5:30pm, Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, Saturday 9am to 2pm

Backs on Burnside’s team approach to treatment integrates chiropractic care and massage therapy into each visit. If you are looking for a dynamic working environment with lots of perks, then look no further–we want to hear from you!!

Backs on Burnside is a collaborative working environment with a well established clientele with 4 DC’s looking to add a 5th DC. We have a staff of 12 massage therapists and CA’s that work along with the DC’s. We have a supportive front desk, billing staff, and use an EHR system that makes charting on patients quick and easy. We utilize diversified adjusting, some low force techniques, manual soft tissue massage and physiotherapies.

Job Requirements:

  • Must comply with local and state licensing laws and regulations
  • Current Oregon DC License or if out of state, able to become licensed in the state of Oregon
  • Practicing DC for 1 or more years
  • Proof of liability insurance
  • Experienced practicing manual and low force manipulation, a variety of physiotherapies and soft tissue techniques
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent communication skills and work ethic
  • Strong assessment skills using your knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and treatment approach
  • Flexibility

We are in search of a Massage Therapist with or without Chiropractic Assistant training who would like a long-term role in a stable and positive environment. You would be working in a medical chiropractic clinical setting conducting massages. We also welcome LMTs who are in private practice that want to supplement their income with a steady paycheck.

Job Requirements:

  • Must comply with local and state licensing laws and regulations
  • Must have current Oregon LMT and/or CA License or soft tissue experience
  • Proof of liability insurance
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent customer service skills and work ethic
  • Able to work flexible days and hours including some nights and weekends however a set schedule is the norm.
  • Experience practicing a variety of medical massage modalities, including deep tissue, trigger point, sports massage treatments
  • Strong assessment skills using your knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and treatment approach
  • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance
  • Active listening skills to understand client pain/goals

A few things to know:
Our usual clinic hours are Mon-Thurs 8:30am to 5:30pm, Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, Saturday 9am to 2pm. When doing massages, your shift would include up to 4 massages in a day. When working as a CA, you would be committed to working a 4 -5 hour scheduled shift.
We have implemented many policies and procedures to protect you, our staff, and our patients so that we all stay healthy and well during this time of increased risk. We mandate masks always worn, have added air purification systems to our ventilation as well as have available portable ones to place in your massage room and have strict cleaning protocols between patients with ample time between patients. We also supply KN95 masks, face shields and aprons.
